DeJon Gomes on the field for Redskins practice, Tyler Polumbus not present early

Safety DeJon Gomes was on the field as the Redskins began practice Wednesday. But right tackle Tyler Polumbus wasn't seen during the portion of the session open to reporters. Gomes suffered a second-degree MCL sprain during Sunday's game against Philadelphia. Redskins coach Mike Shanahan said Monday that Gomes would be evaluated on a day-by-day basis.
